9-Day Nanjing Shanghai Tour and Yangtze River Curise

Day 01

In the morning we arrived Nanjing tour , which shares the honor of being one of the traditional "four great ancient capitals of China" withe Beijing, Luoyang, and Xian. Our Nanjing one day trip began from Nanjing Yangtze Bridge,China's first own design and construction of double-lane highways, railways dual-use bridge. The next stop was related with the China Communist Party--the Rain and Flower Terrace. It is the place in honor of Communist martyrs who died for the foundation of the P.R. China. The Memorial Hall of Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Intruders is also an important attraction you will visit today. It is the educational base of patriotism. The exhibitions of ferocities by Japanese intruders remind every Chinese people of that unforgettable history.Then we transferred to the Nanjing Confucius Temple , which was once a place to worship and consecrate Confucius, while now it is a place with a series of tourist shops, snack bars, restaurants and tea cafes where we got a deep touch with local Nanjing people. After covering all the attractions above, we were escorted to hotel and checked in for one night stay. 

DAY 02

Today we had a chance to admire a historic giant in the Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Nanjing is not the born place of President Sun, but he devoted his lifetime here and was buries in Nanjing according to his will. Then proceeded to Nanjing Museum ana appreciate its extensive collections of some 2,000 first class treasures of national and cultural interest. Then visited Zhonghua Gate, the south gate of Nanjing City,which is the biggest castle-style city gate in China and also the best preserved and most complicated ancient castle in the world. After that, we transferred to Nanjing Railway Station, standing aside Xuanwu Lake. Then left for Chongqing

DAy 03

Upon our arrival in Chongqing, our guide met us and escort us to embark our cruise ship - President Prime.

Embark President Prime. Departed Chongqing at 22:00. The Yangzte River is the longest river in Asia and the third-longest in the world which stretches about 6,300 kilometers. This cruise would be our lifetime experience.

19:00 - 20:00 Check in Chongqing Port and pre-board. 

21:30 Depart Chongqing. 

DAY 04

07:00  Breakfast & Morning Coffee. 

08:00 Announcement on itinerary and facilities on board. 

09:00-11:30  Shore excursion to Fengdu town-"city of devils". 

14:00-16:00 Cultural activities and Conference time. 

18:00 Welcome banquet held by captain. 

20:00  Dancing & singing performance. 

DAY 05

08:00 - 09:00 Optional excursion to White Emperor City.  

09:00-09:30  Sailing through the Qutang gorge. 

10:30-12:00  Sailing through the Wu gorge. 

13:00-17:00  Badong-shore excursion-drifting in the Shennong stream. 

17:00-19:00  Sail through Xiling gorge (western section). 

18:00 Farewell Dinner. 

20:00-24:00 Pass the ship locks of the three gorges dam. 

DAY 06

06:30  Breakfast & Morning Coffee. 

08:00 - 10:30 Shore excursion to Three Gorge Dam. 

10:30-11:30 Sail through Xiling gorge (eastern section). 

12:00 Arrive Yichang port. 

Transferred to airport and took a flight to Shanghai.

DAY 07

Began our Shanghai sightseeing day trip by visiting Yuyuan Garden with the escort of guide, and saw this famous largest of Shanghai's ancient gardens of Ming and Qing architectural styles. Proceed to City God Temple, which was an important Taoism temple founded in Ming yongle (Ming 1424) with almost 600 years of history but now is a street where we tasted the best Shanghai snacks.Then following is the "city green lung" --People's Square, which is one landscape style square which melts administration, culture, transportation, commercial elements. Our next stop was Shanghai City Planning & Exhibition Hall, which shows to people also to the world the achievements in Shanghai urban planning and construction development. Since we were in Shanghai is shopping heaven in China Mainland, we also visited Nanjing Road.

DAY 08

Today explored another side of Shanghai. Our first destination today was Xintiandi Entertainment Complex, a fashionable pedestrian street composed of Shikumen and modern architecture style. Then extended to Duolun Celebrity Culture Street. As people says " Shanghai, a city of hundred years, can be seen in Duo Lun, a little street." Then we visited the Bund. For hundreds of years, the Bund is not only a common waterfront facing Huangpu River, but also the symbol of Shanghai. Also we got the top of Oriental Pearl TV Tower. And this the world's third tallest and Asian highest TV and radio tower is sure to gave us an amazing birdview of Shanghai and Huangpu River. 

DAY 09

Free for us to continue the exploration of Shanghai on our own until the agreed pick-up time. We enjoyed our China tour.
