Day 1

Today's Activities January 21: Arrive in Beijing.
Your tour guide from ShanghaiFocus.com will hold a name sign and wait for you at Beijing airport this morning. And you will be transferred to hotel with his/her escort. After check-in the hotel, this afternoon, you will be guided to take an in-city sightseeing of Beijing.
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world, representing symbol of China's national pride. Head to the Forbidden City, popularly known as the Imperial Palace, was the permanent residence of the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
This evening, you will attend a Peking Opera performance and get driven back to hotel after the show.

Day 2

Today's Activities January 22: Beijing
After breakfast in the hotel, the driver and the tour guide will meet you at the hotel’s lobby and then your full day Beijing tour starts. Visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu, surrounded by wonderful landscape and less crowded than Badaling section of the Great Wall. You are suggested to wear comfortable shoes for hiking. Next tour the Changling Tomb, the largest one in scale of the Ming Tombs where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) were buried after death. Drive back to city centre after the day excursion. And you may have a stop over at National Stadium, more widely known as Bird's Nest, the main game venue for Beijing 2008 Olympics.
Enjoy Peking Roast Duck in famed Quanjude Restaurant.

Day 3

Today's Activities January 23: Beijing – Xian
This morning, you will be escorted to Temple of Earth where yearly cultural fair is held during the Spring Festival. The theme of the coming year will be China Dragon. And you will have the chance to watch featured Chinese folk arts and also very China elements such as lanterns, spring couplets, red decorations, acrobatics, yummy snacks and so on. They always offer more than what you expect.
After lunch, take a rickshaw ride along Beijing Hutongs. Visit a local family and experience Beijingers’ daily life. Have dinner with the family and then get driven to airport and fly to Xian.  Meet your Xian tour guide upon arrival and then check in your Xian Hotel.

Day 4

Today's Activities January 24: Xian
Today you will be escorted to visit Terracotta Warriors, the most highlighted part of Xian tours to every visitor. It is the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century, the world eighth wonder and there are altogether 7,000 life-size pottery soldiers, horses, chariots and weapon guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang in silence during the 2000 years history. You've got plenty time today to admire the world’s eighth wonder. And this afternoon, you will visit Xian City Wall, the most complete city wall now in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world, built first in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
During China Spring Festival, various kinds of lanterns are exhibited along the City Wall to the public. Some are designed in traditional spherical shape, and some are design into the shapes of dragons, birds, butterflies and other animals. Anyway, the lantern fair will full please the audience’ eyes and beyond their imagination.
Enjoy Jiaozi Banquet as dinner and watch fabulous singing and dancing show of Tang Dynasty.

Day 5

Today's Activities January 25: Depart from Xian
Continue your Xian sightseeing this morning with your local guide. First visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, rated as a National Key Cultural Relic Preserve as well as an AAAA Tourist Attraction. Proceed to visit Great Mosque, one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China and the only mosque in Xian that is open to visitors. Before driving to catch your flight departing from Xian, you will also have the chance to visit Shaanxi History Museum, a state-class museum with priceless collection of historic relics.
Your Xian tour guide will see you off at airport and this 5-Day China Spring Festival Experience completes.
